“We hired Joel to build the pergola of our dreams to complete our outdoor living space. I’ve tried to build a custom pergola in for 2 years, went through the approval process from HOA, got approved for a variance with the city, etc… all to find that when the quotes came in from contractors, I couldn't afford to actually get it built. I had all but given up on my pergola project, when I was given Joel's number and was assured I would not be disappointed in quality or price. I was shocked when his number came in 35% -45% lower than all my other quotes. He showed me examples of his work which were beautiful. Joel's background came from years of working with three of the largest contracting companies (two known for their decks, patios, and pergolas) before he decided to go out on his own. I asked him why he was so much less expensive and he told me that he left the big contracting companies because he felt he could build a company that had different principles than the big companies.
